One night in a dream, I asked my awake mind yet asleep body, what my true spirit animal was. My unconscious self began to lead me through a beautiful, lush forest, where I could hear a stream bubbling its song nearby. Walking through the woods, I pushed aside the branches and brush to clear my path, causing the sun rays to dance and glint in the space around me. I wondered where I was headed, or more, what I was going to find.
After what seemed to be forever I came upon a small, perfectly round clearing. Yet in this clearing alone, it was no longer green and luscious, but covered in a crystal-like fresh snow where intricate snowflakes were gently falling. Right in the middle of this winter wonder was a luminous soul curled up around her tail, appearing to be sleeping, yet I knew was awake. There she was, an arctic fox.
As I looked down on this magnificent creature, I knew that just like this fox, I create a world for myself amongst the madness and conformity of the world. I thrive there, in that realm, because I am my truest and most extraordinary self. The spirit of the arctic fox is known for her magic, wildness, and cleverness, all of which I would use to describe myself in every aspect of life.
When it comes to my sense of style, I would define my fashion as a new age, bohemian, traveler, who’s obsessed with all things retro. I love feeling confident, beautiful, and happy in my own skin, and sometimes the perfect flowy dress with the right accessories can do just that.
However, it’s not just about how you feel on the outside, but the inside as well. To keep my mind and body healthy and happy, I have a wide variety of workout and exercise methods. Dancing is my main passion, whether it be ballet, jazz, hip hop, cha cha, rumba, or swing, I love to loose myself in the music. I also love hiking to unknown destinations, waterfalls, and ancient ruins. Rock climbing, lyra, silks, and trapeze are other ways I like to build strength as well as weight lifting and band exercises.
All things considered though it doesn’t come down to what you do, but what you do with it. I believe in the power of dance and have created several videos and tutorials where people can learn this art form for free. I support charities, help raise awareness for endangered animals, and recycle. I also have my own travel blog where I share my own experiences, hopefully inspiring others to explore and cherish this magnificent Earth we are privileged to call home. All the while growing and nurturing the invaluable, little arctic fox within me.
